How to make a gradient GIF or video

  1. Create and animate your gradient

Choose your colors and gradient style in the editor, then preview the motion before exporting.
  2. Choose an animated export format

Open Export and choose GIF, MP4 or WebM. These formats require Pro; Free supports watermarked PNG still images.
  3. Set the duration, render and check

Choose the export dimensions, duration and frame rate. Download the result and check its file size, playback and loop transition in the destination where you will use it.

Three Formats

Three ways
to export.

GIF, MP4 or WebM? Start with the destination.

Use GIF when your destination specifically requires it. For video, check which MP4 or WebM files it accepts. Compare file size and color transitions in a small test export before rendering a larger version.

The animated studies above are live previews, not exported-file quality comparisons. Compression and playback can change the final appearance.
